kitchen, kids will find an interesting calendar, news in the
paper, notes on the refrigerator door and food inside. Don't
forget to wash your hands in the sink before eating!

Challenge:. You must
devise a nonverbal communications system to translate how to
create each pizza pie. You must then create the pizzas
Time: In Part A, you
will have 5 minutes to devise the nonverbal communications system.
Then, you will have 7 minutes to prepare the pizzas. In Part
B, you will have 3 minutes to determine who gets to eat what
pizzas.
The Scene: You are in
a cooking class. Your assignment is to bake seven personal size
pizzas without using any form of language (written, spoken, sung,
nor signed). Three of you are the master chefs. Four of you
are the food preparers. The master chefs have already written
the recipes for the pizzas. In Part A, the master chefs will
nonverbally communicate to the food preparers how to make each
pizza. The master chefs may only use the kitchen utensils in
front of them to communicate. Be aware that the pepperoni and
mushrooms will be given an exact number. The sausage and cheese
will be given in handfuls. The sauce will be given in spoonfuls.
Some of the pizzas will be half and half.

1 - 20 pts. for the creativity of the nonverbal communications
system
1 - 25 pts. for teamwork
5 pts. for each pizza that is made correctly

1 -25 pts. for teamwork in deciding who gets to eat what pizza
